These Community Guidelines govern your participation in LifeCompass community features, including our Discord server and any other community platforms we may provide access to.

• Interactions between community members that relate to LifeCompass

By participating in LifeCompass communities, you agree to follow these Guidelines in addition to:

• LifeCompass Terms of Service
• LifeCompass Privacy Policy
• Third-party platform terms (Discord Terms of Service, etc.)

• Encourage and support fellow community members
• Celebrate achievements and progress, no matter how small
• Offer constructive feedback when requested
• Respect different approaches to goal achievement

2.2 Respect and Inclusion

• Treat all community members with dignity and respect
• Welcome newcomers and help them feel included
• Respect diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives
• Use inclusive language and avoid discriminatory content

2.3 Constructive Communication

• Keep discussions relevant to productivity, goals, and personal development
• Share experiences and insights that may help others
• Ask thoughtful questions and provide helpful responses

3.2 Professional Advice Limitations

❌ Not Permitted:

• Offering medical, health, or mental health advice for specific conditions
• Giving legal advice or interpretation
• Career coaching without appropriate qualifications
• Tax or accounting guidance
• Specific parenting advice for behavioral or developmental issues
• Business legal advice or regulatory guidance

3.3 Advice Disclaimers

When sharing experiences or suggestions:

• Make clear you're sharing personal experience, not professional advice
• Encourage others to do their own research
• Recommend consulting qualified professionals for important decisions
• Acknowledge that what worked for you may not work for everyone

• *"This budgeting method worked well for me, but everyone's situation is different. You might want to talk to a financial advisor about what's best for your specific circumstances."*
• *"This fitness routine helped me, but I'm just sharing my experience - not fitness advice. Always consult a trainer or doctor before starting new exercise programs."*
• *"This parenting approach worked for our family, but every child is different. For specific behavioral concerns, a pediatrician or child psychologist would be much more helpful than my experience."*

4. INFORMATION SHARING AND PRIVACY

4.1 Personal Information

❌ Never Share:

• Full names, addresses, or phone numbers
• Financial account numbers or passwords
• Social Security numbers or other government IDs
• Specific salary amounts or detailed financial information
• Medical records, detailed health information, or mental health details

⚠️ Share With Caution:

• General location (city/state okay, specific address not okay)
• Job titles or industry (avoid company names)
• General financial goals (avoid specific dollar amounts)
• Health and fitness goals (avoid medical details or mental health specifics)
• General parenting experiences (avoid specific child behavioral or developmental details)

4.2 Privacy Reminders

• Remember that community discussions are visible to all members
• Third-party platforms (like Discord) have their own privacy policies
• Screenshots of conversations may be shared outside the community
• Consider whether you'd be comfortable with your information being public

4.3 Reporting Privacy Concerns

If someone shares inappropriate personal information:

• Report it using platform tools (Discord report feature)
• Contact community moderators
• Don't screenshot or share the information further

5. PROHIBITED CONTENT AND BEHAVIOR

5.1 Harassment and Bullying

• Personal attacks, insults, or harassment

• Persistent unwanted contact

5.2 Inappropriate Content

✅ Permitted:

• Sharing free resources and tools
• Recommending apps or services (with disclosure if you benefit)
• Discussing your profession in relevant contexts

6. MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT

6.1 Community Moderation

• LifeCompass reserves the right to moderate community content
• We may use volunteer moderators to help maintain community standards
• Third-party platforms (like Discord) have their own moderation systems
• Moderation decisions aim to protect the community while being fair to individuals

6.2 Reporting Violations

To report guideline violations:

• Use platform reporting tools (Discord's report feature)

6.3 Consequences for Violations

Depending on severity, violations may result in:

• Warning: Explanation of guideline violation with opportunity to correct behavior
• Temporary Restriction: Limited access to community features for specified period
• Community Removal: Permanent removal from community platforms
• Account Action: Suspension or termination of LifeCompass account

6.4 Appeals Process

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error:

• Provide detailed explanation of your appeal
• We will review appeals within 7 business days
• Appeal decisions are final

7. PLATFORM-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES

In addition to these Guidelines, Discord participants must:

7.2 Discord Etiquette

• Use @here and @everyone sparingly and appropriately
• Keep messages conversational (avoid walls of text)
• Use thread features for extended discussions
• Respect others' availability (they may not respond immediately)

• Disputes or conflicts between community members
• Actions taken by members based on community discussions
